How to tell a licensed store from an unlicensed one
A provincial licence number — private stores display a six-digit Cannabis Retail Store licence (like #450266); government stores are branded "BC Cannabis Stores".
ID at the door, every time — licensed delivery checks government photo ID and never leaves an order unattended. No ID check is the clearest sign of an unlicensed seller.
Tested, labelled product — excise stamp, child-resistant packaging, THC/CBD on the label, and a receipt.
An address you can visit — every licence is tied to a physical store you can walk into.
